<div itemprop="description">Walker, Dorothy <br />A wife, mother and grandmother who lived a life graced with deep faith and constant love for her family. Dorothy died at South Lake Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario in her 99th year on Thursday April 21, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Charles (Chuck) Walker, deceased in 1986 and later married Clarence (Clarry) Brennan (deceased) and was step-mother to his 3 children Dennis, Doreen (deceased) and Terry. Dorothy was the loving mother of Andrea (Tony), Beverley, deceased in 2014 (Brian) and Eric (Lynn). She was the proud Grandma of Brad, Melissa, Dana, Megan, Ian, Rachel and Kate. She was also Grandma GG to 7 great and children and was also loved by all her nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born in 1917 in Saskatchewan to Anne and George Cross with brother Allyn (deceased), sisters Marjorie (deceased) and Joyce. Dorothy always placed family first. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and at a very early age won many singing competitions. Later, she was a soloist at Park Road Baptist Church and Yorkminster Park Baptist Church in Toronto. She enjoyed golf, bridge, family get-togethers and time with her many friends. She was known as a person who was charitable, reliable, loyal and caring. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving person of great faith and a generous nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at South Lake Hospital, 6th Floor Medicine and the Palliative Unit for the wonderful care they provided to her and to her family. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax). 905-428-8488 on Monday April 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
