<div itemprop="description">Geneva (Jenny) Rootham <br />March 2, 1932 - March 30, 2016<br /><br />Passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 30th at the Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering Hospital. <br /><br />Jenny was born March 2, 1932 in Moncton, New Brunswick, eventually settling in Toronto, Ontario to raise her family. She was the widow of Roger Poirier and married to second husband, Kenneth Rootham, at the time of her passing.<br /><br />Geneva is survived by husband, Kenneth Rootham; sister Doris Leger; daughters Bernice Grant, Pauline Donnelley (Tom), Carol Simmons (Jack); grandchildren Catherine (Nick), Patricia, Steven (Katie), Richard, Brian, Andrew (Melissa); great-grandchildren Liam, James, Noah, Luke and Lily. She will be missed by the many loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Rootham side.<br /><br />The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, (Ajax) 905-428-8488 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday April 4th. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
