Sadly, Gerald Kelly (Jerry) passed away suddenly in Scarborough on Tuesday June 30, 2015. Beloved Son to Margaret Wood (Kelly) and James Bernard Kelly of Scarborough. Big brother to Michael Kelly (Michelle), Lisa Goulah, (George) and Craig Kelly. Predeceased by Loving Sister Colleen Kelly. Uncle to Blake, Shawn, Brennan, Garret, Emma, and Elliot. Cousin to many extended family members. Friend of the Wood family, Carol & Ken, Jerry & Hazel, Bob & Maureen. Close friend of long time friends, Trevor, Doug & Peggy and also to many friends now passed away.
Jerry was self employed. In his work he supported many long term clients in maintenance and repairs. He could be relied upon to attend to their needs and provided honest service over many years. He was a ‘Jack of all trades’ and donated his skills to his close family and friends, from wiring to civil construction, Jerry handled it all. His friendliness and kindness to all people, and his devotion and love of animals is a tribute to the beauty of his heart and soul.
Jerry kept close company with those he loved dearly. He was easy to talk to and listened with an open heart. He gave his best to offer practical advice without judgement, mindful of your emotions. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Toronto Humane Society. Jerry loved animals, especially dogs. He was gentle, thoughtful, and generous. Please remember him that way.
Light refreshments to follow immediately after the Funeral Mass on Monday.
Online condolences may be left above in the Guestbook.
