<div itemprop="description">Passed away tragically, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the age of 80. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Marlene. Loving father to David (Susan), Dan (Brenda), Ellen (Ren&eacute;), Janine (David), Robin, and Ann (Stephen). Loving Grampa to Allison, Kathryn, Peter, Kaitlin and Danielle, Claudelle, Amy, Benjamin, Samuel, Jonathon, Randy and Monica. Proud great-grandfather to Dominik, Bella and Avery. He is survived by brothers David (Phyllis) and George (Alice) and is the proud uncle to Gordon, Kenneth, George, Alexander and Stephanie. Brother-in-law to Annemarie (Doug). John was a gentle man with a deep Christian faith who always tried to help others and he will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 2:00 &ndash; 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 &ndash; 9:00 p.m. at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax 905-428-8488). The Funeral Service will be held at the PICKERING PENTECOSTAL CHURCH &ldquo;THE GATHERING PLACE&rdquo; (1920 Bayly St. Pickering) on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 am. After the service there will be a reception followed by the Interment at Salem United Church Cemetery, Pickering.
