The Family of Ronald Quinn sadly announce his passing. He passed away peacefully in his bed at home late in the evening of Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in his 90th year.
His passing follows the passing of his loving wife Margaret Quinn, known as Peggy to all of those who knew her. The Loving father of Alan, Jeffrey and Russell, beloved father-in-law to Alan's wife Joanne and Russell's wife Tanya and affectionately the Grandad to his much loved grandchildren, Mathew, Jennifer and Brian, who brought him joy in being a big part of his life.
He loved his work at the Toronto Star and retired as Machine Shop Superintendant after a career spanning from 1964 to 1991.
He avidly followed his hometown Team of Liverpool Football Club and very much enjoyed reading and following baseball and hockey.
He always looked forward to his Friday Fish and Chips, loved his Sunday dinners, and never missed many mornings having his Special K and All Bran while reading his daily newspaper and drinking his tea out of his favourite mug.
He will be greatly missed by his friends, his neighbours and his family alike. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him.
His family would like to extend an invitation to all to come to the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, located near Hwy 2 and Church Street in Ajax, 905-428-8488, on Friday the 11th day of December for Visitation between 2 & 4 pm in the afternoon and between 7 & 9 pm in the evening.
Donations in his memory and in honour to his late wife Peggy, can be made to Jays Care Foundation.
